Home Page NEW. STEPHEN'S Simonsbath Pics - Click Next Walk Founded in 1977 Dudley Ramblers now has around 100 paid up members and caters for all ages and walking abilities. Initial membership fee is £7.50 thereafter £6.00 paid annually at the AGM in March. You may walk twice as a temporary member at a cost of 50 pence per walk before you are asked to join, this cost will be subtracted from the subsequent first year’s membership fee. Additional benefit in joining is a 10% discount with presentation of membership card at approved outdoor walking gear retailers We meet at the small car park behind Falcon House in Flood Street, Dudley ( CLICK for map) for all rambles and depart at the time shown against the walk date. Cars are normally used to reach the start of the walk and drivers organise transport economically to provide transport for passengers. It is agreed that passengers pay 5 pence a mile with no top limit but a minimum limit of £1.00. Newcomers are always made welcome, just turn up at the meeting place or contact us for further details. We also have two walks a year further afield and travel to these by coach. During the summer months there is a programme of fortnightly Thursday evening walks which is replaced during the winter with a programme of monthly indoor meetings. There are some members who spend occasional small group weekends at a Youth Hostel and the club arrange one a year on a wider membership basis. Walkers should wear walking boots or shoes, bring waterproof clothing and something to eat and drink. We regret that dogs are not allowed on walks even on a lead.
